Meet the author: Stephanie Blau

Welcome to my website and thanks for stopping by! I’m thrilled to introduce my two Picture Book Series: The Grooples find Scrooples and The Zooples.

The Grooples find Scrooples is a project I’ve poured my heart into, drawing on my personal experience as a mother of three, and professional experience as a former child psychotherapist. Grooples are fun animated characters tackling relatable childhood challenges. Each individual story teaches a valuable lesson with a highlighted scruple (Scroople). Included are “Questions for Discussion,” at the end of each story, providing an opportunity for meaningful conversations to reinforce the lessons presented.

The Zooples, on the other hand, are whimsical and humorous animals embarking on wild adventures, igniting children's imagination, and eliciting laughter. Just like the Grooples, each Zooples story carries a subtle moral lesson, but in a less overt manner. Written in a variety of rhyming couplets, these tales are fun to read aloud with children.

Originally from Los Angeles, I still reside here with my husband and editor, Eddie Blau, and our three children. When not immersed in writing, you'll find me indulging in my love of reading, teaching and practicing yoga, spending quality time with family and friends, and relishing playful moments with my two beloved doggies.
